NOT PERFECT CHILDREN

I never claimed to have perfect children...
all of them are disobedient at times, irreverent, hard to understand...
I scold them, I lecture them....
I am disappointed....sometimes I am even hurt by their words and by their actions.....

but

then I see them praying every night...
I see them praying in the chapel......
and in today's world...sadly, this has become less and less common....
it has become an oddity...
something kids are ashamed of....
an act regarded as "not cool."

So yes....I am proud of my children.....
I take great pride in saying that my children pray,
and that even Lizzie can pray the Rosary.

For me this is the best sign, that not only do they acknowledge the presence of a higher being...
but my kids truly believe in HIM...
they talk to him...they ask for help....they know that He is their Savior and their only God.

I can face my Lord and tell Him that, at least, in that one aspect....I trained my kids well.

They are not perfect...
but I will always love them, regardless of anything they might do....
I will always support them and I will never abandon them....

They may not be perfect kids....
but then, I am not a perfect father....
but my love for them....it can only be perfect!
