I am old school when it comes to Bond....so I was not a fan of Daniel Craig's Bond....
Although the action scenes in his Bond films were fantastic and heart-stopping, I always hungered for the panache, the wit and the grace that accompanied the Bond films of old.
My James
Bond was always well groomed and dapper under pressure and even after the most terrible fights....
I thought that this Bond film, through it's director Sam Mendez made a conscious effort to remind us of those things I missed in Bond.
In the pre-credits sequence, Craig fixes his suit after a grueling fight, in the same way Roger Moore used to do.
His suits are also so well tailored, he looked like a ramp model, which is how Connery, Moore, Brosnan, and even Lazenby and Dalton carried their suits.
The original Aston Martin car used by Sean Connery in Goldfinger, complete with the ejector seat, also makes a welcome and terrific comeback...and when Bond starts driving it, he does so, accompanied by the original version of the Bond theme.
The movie actually revolves around M, and the significant changes in her character.
Weapons and gadgets expert, Quartermaster (Q) and Secretary Moneypenny are also re-introduced in this new Bond Film.......
So Bond is finally back....
and even for old -school Bond fans like me....
