The
highest judge of the highest court of the land should be beyond
reproach and any doubt, and therefore deserve our utmost trust and
highest respect.......today with a vote of 20 -3 Chief Justice Corona
has been deemed unfit and unworthy of this kind of trust and respect!
This should not be a day for mourning or as his supporters have harped, the start of our country's ultimate downfall.....
This should be seen as a day full of hope, as a possible chance to start anew and to start right......for where can you witness a better example of equality among all people, than in the case of a lowly Supreme Court employee fired for not including a small stall in his SALN and now their Chief, their Boss, "getting fired" as well for not including 180M in his SALN.....the figures don't match, but the penalty......well they will both be soon out of their jobs.
So to say that this decision is wrong is within everybody's rights, but to insult everyone who agrees with this decision borders on the childish and even on insanity, as so aptly shown by Miriam Santiago, who has showed once again by walking out, that intelligence is never equal to good manners.
A lot of my relatives have left for greener pastures, but I have remained here for my parents and largely, because I believe in this country, and more importantly, in its people. There are rotten eggs esp. in government, but the majority of the people, the common people, are honest, hardworking, gentle, generous and God-fearing and very prayerful.....How can I not believe in this country and how can I lose hope in its people?
The impeachment is over...time to move on!
