GOD BLESS YOU SO MUCH

Each school day when I and my wife bring the kids to school, we always have a small problem, once we reach Lizzie’s classroom….
she would always have a hard time letting us go. 
We wait for one of her teachers to come, then, before we actually leave her, we would go through a series of kisses, hugs and sweet words to each other….
sometimes we would have a serious talk about it, sometimes we would even scold her a little, as everyone, including her teachers and classmates would be looking at us as we go through this daily ritual…..
But it is actually hard to scold her, because you know she’s very emotionally involved, and because of what she says….

Just before we really leave her, she says….”I love you so much ! God bless you so much!

At first, we thought she was getting mixed up with “I love you so much” and “God bless you”, because I have never heard anyone say, “God bless you so much.”…
but then, we spoke to her about it and she says…
she really wants God to bless us so much.

I’ve always felt good when people say “God bless” to me…
but it even feels better when it’s your own child saying it…..
and it becomes doubly powerful and heartfelt when she says it with so much feeling and sincerity
and doesn’t stop with a mere “God bless!” ,
but says “God bless you so much Daddy!” …..
truly, life is so much more wonderful because of our children!

I WILL ALWAYS NEED THEM....

Today my daughter Nikki, together with her 3rd year High School batch mates will go on their 3rd campus tour, to help them decide which college or University to go to....It is the last trip on a series of campus tours......I believe they will be going to U.P., Ateneo, De La Salle, UST, College of St. Benilde...and perhaps other universities.....My and my daughter's personal preference is U.P of course, my alma mater.

I know that this is a big step for all of them....before we left, I saw my daughter kneeling down to pray....I advised her to pray also for enlightenment....to be able to choose rightly the course that will lead her to the vocation she desires...then we left for school, where they will be brought by a bus, today, to some of the colleges or universities I mentioned.

As we were walking along the pathway to SJCS, I kidded her and said, "What if I join your campus tour and hold your hand to make sure nothing happens to you?" ....she looked at me as if to say..."What?".....Then when we got inside the school, she politely pointed out to me, that I was the only parent there....so I kissed her, hugged her, said, "Goodbye, God Bless!" and turned around to leave.

As I was walking back to my car...I realized that my princess, my first baby was a grown-up lady...she is going to choose her course depending on what she wants to be, with very little help from dad....pretty soon she will make all her decisions without my advice....pretty soon...she will survive, she will live and she will love...without dad.

I will be very proud when that moment comes.....but what Nikki and my other kids, when they also grow up, may fail to realize.....is that dad, I, will always need them!

To this day...I have not found a better cure for a bad day, for heartaches, even for headaches and ulcers...than my kids' hugs, their kisses....their stories, their laughter....their love.

I will always pray that God helps my kids to become independent of me...that they become successful on their own, with God's help of course....but at the back of my mind, and in a chamber of my heart....I will always have that small wish...that they might still need me for simple things....like a hug, a kiss, a funny story...and to be able to give love and express love, when they most need it....because I, their daddy, will always be here just waiting....and I will always need them!

God bless the SJCS 3rd year students....May the Good Lord protect you and may the Good Lord enlighten you.

Children's Party

Is it really necessary to give our child a birthday party every year?

If the purpose is just to make them happy....is it really necessary, esp. if the budget is a little tight?

Sometimes in our zest, we forget to ask them, or in case they are unable to speak, we don't really think about it....we throw a party for our friends and for our relatives, for us, not really for the child....and sometimes in the confusion of the party, and in our desire to make the guests happy...we forget that it's our child's special day...and that she or he, most of all, should be the happiest!!!

How many parties have we gone to, where the kid celebrator has gone to bed, while the dad is still drinking with his barkada....to the dad.....your kid would have been happiest if you had spend time with him or her, than drinking with your friends....sometimes daddy gets confused and thinks it's his birthday.

Sometimes we throw a party even when we are a little hard up on cash, and makes it so impractical...kids are smart....you explain to them properly, they understand....then you make them feel how much special they are, and they can sense that!...and to those too young to understand your explanation, they may be too young to remember a party given for them also...but they will never be too young to feel and sense love and caring, so just make them feel special.

The afternoon of Lizzie's birthday....after we had our family lunch, and after Lizzie had opened her gifts....we cuddled as we read the books that she got......then I asked her the most important question for the day...."Are you happy my baby?" and she says...."I am super happy daddy, because I know that you love me so much.......God bless you so much Daddy!...no party can beat that!!!

March 17

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZIE
(written last March 17, 2013)

Today is my baby’s 7th birthday…we have no party…just a family lunch….doesn’t mean we’re not celebrating….because there certainly is a grand reason to celebrate…we just have priorities…and we can celebrate without a party….the most important thing is that the celebrator is happy.

Charlize Nicolette or Lizzie was a premature baby…and her mom certainly had a difficult time giving birth to her…she was her first caesarian, and even had a premature rupture of membrane….she came out just slightly heavier than 4 pounds. We had to leave her at the hospital…and every night, all of us, I, my wife, Dinah, and Nicole and Niccolo, including my parents, would pine for her…we wanted to be with her.

I went to the hospital every day, just to talk to her, to hold her, to hug her. A few days after she was born, I was informed that she seemed to have signs of Pneumonia, so an x-ray had to be done the next day. That afternoon, before leaving her again at the Nursery, I spoke to her again, while carrying her..I said, “Lizzie, we love you so much, and we need you, please get stronger for daddy and mommy.” …Then we all prayed that night, asking the Lord to make our baby strong and healthy.

The next morning, I and Dinah were in the hospital nursery very early, and we were informed that no x-ray was needed, as Lizzie was very strong and very active…I decided there and then, that I would bring my baby home…there were some hesitation and resistance, at first…but they took into consideration that I was a physician….and I knew what my Lizzie needed was the care, the attention, the embrace…the love…that only I, her mom and siblings could give her.

As a result of all these….Lizzie is the sweetest of all of our kids. They are all very close to us….but Lizzie always writes “I love you Daddy” in a piece of paper, often times with a heart on it, almost each day…. And she never fails to say “I love you so much and God bless you so much Daddy!”, every day, before we leave her at school.

Lizzie is now graduating Kindergarten…she is hyperactive, she is talkative, she is a smart aleck…she could be naughty….but she is smart, she is quick, she is sweet, she is loving…and she is the only one among my kids…who says…”GOD BLESS YOU SO MUCH DADDY!”

Happy birthday my dear Lizzie…you know Daddy loves you so much...and I will continue to love you even when you have babies of your own….you will always be my baby. Thank you so much for loving daddy and for making daddy’s and mommy’s days so much brighter and so much more wonderful!

I always thought the real reason behind an education was to become civilized...
and I always believed the hallmark of civilization is not just progress, but the willingness to do everything to preserve peace....
natakot ako sa mga nabasa ko dito sa social media about the Sabah issue...
we seem to have regressed to the stone age where everything is "akin ito-laban tayo". 
Mas gusto ko pang matawag na duwag kaysa ilagay sa panganib ang anak ko para sa isang piraso ng lupa...
bravery should always be coupled with wisdom and conscience.....
so many evil leaders had bravery...and this bravery led the world to 2 world wars.
Mas grabe pa ngayon...kasi these so called brave men show bravery by sending their men to their deaths while they stay home, give interviews and blame other people.
Those who give comments and make suggestions are the same....they tell the president to go to war...pero di naman sila kasali...kasi sa bahay lang sila...what they fail to see is the possibility of an all-out war that may reach our shores and endanger our children....for what? For Kiram? 
Sana everyone who encourages us to go to war of to fight will do it with a pledge that if war ensues...sila sa harapan..let them go to the forefront and show us how brave they really are....madaling magsalita eh!
Sometimes bravery is knowing when not to fight and accepting all the insults but still persisting to do what is right!
PEACE ABOVE ALL---ALL THE TIME!!!

Tama naman na! I wonder how you would really handle the issue if you had been the president...would you really dare to attack or fight Malaysia...or as you say put on a brave stance or stand?....Sa akin ang dating....sumasakay lang talaga....
what a waste, because I wanted to vote and even campaign for some of these candidates...pero parang nawawalan ako ng gana, because of the way they have spoken about this issue and other issues....

Again....

Before I am anything else....I am a father...my priority is my children....and every father should abhor war and the possibility of war...because the foremost victims in every war will be the innocent children....
So if not going to war against Malaysia is being a coward...then I am a coward....and I am with the president on this....
The act of a sultanate esp. one that is not done for the country but for themselves, should not endanger or even affect the rest of the country, esp. our children....
You put up a brave front, only if you can back it up, and only if you are a hundred percent sure that it is what the majority of your countrymen need and want....
Kiram sent 300 armed men...and what was the expected result....a fairy tale ending---a victory?
Kiram sent 300 men composed of fathers, husband, sons, brothers, friends, to their death----a lot of people are to be blamed for this, but no one greater than Kiram and his advisers.
These candidates have decided to ride on this issue, as if they would know what to do, had they been the president.
Some people have decided to play the blame game and even resort to name-calling....na dapat sana ginagawa lang ng bata na di naturuan ng tama ng mga magulang....adults, esp. educated ones should act better than this.....
you can disagree, you can make comments...but you can make them without name-calling and rumor mongering!!!

Dapat sana ang kandidato mas matino at mas magaling sa atin....
they should have a platform and a campaign strategy much better than just attacking the president....we should expect more from them.

MAINIT NA PROTESTA NG PUP STUDENTS

I am a UP alumnus....and I am all for freedom of expression...
but look at what they did at PUP..... if your tuition fee is this low and you are basically being sent to school by the people....does your rights include doing this? 
Chairs and tables are not cheap....they even threw computer monitors....
How many public schools have a severe lack of tables of chairs? How many public school students are aching to have computers? 
We have to start thinking if these violent students really deserve to be sent to school by us....the tax payers..and most of us are not rich...we work so hard to send our children to school...tapos itong mga ito pagkatapos pag-aralin ng taxes natin...will do this? 
Again, our taxes brought the things they burned, so we have a stake on them and we never gave them the permission to do this....
they should be charged, expelled or, at least, suspended...para di na sila pamarisan. 
Iba yung karapatan sa kalabisan...iba rin yung pakikipaglaban at paninindigan sa walang katuturang karahasan!!!

ON KRIS AQUINO AND JAMES YAP

My daughter was so surprised when she read people's comments...she was surprised that most of them were siding with James Yap.....and knowing that I have never been a fan of Kris Aquino, she thought I would side with James Yap as well....she was shocked with my views......

As a man...I cannot understand asking money from your wife...kahit ex na....
then...no matter how Kris tries to indoctrinate or hypnotize the kid, if the father had truly bothered to spend some time with his kid, showed him how much he truly mattered to him...hindi yung pag-naalala lang bigla...the kid would know it, he would feel it..kids are not fools....they have a way of sensing things....
and Have we all forgotten that this guy two-timed Kris Aquino in Belo's clinic?
I am not a fan of Kris.....but a man who destroys his own family by cavorting with another woman....and then takes money or rather asks money from his wife....then does not visit his kid as often as he should will get very little sympathy from me, kahit umiyak pa siya sa TV....
Again, I am not a fan of Kris, I don't watch her shows....nagkataon lang na lalaki ako, made in the old mode....a gentleman doesn't do this!!!

My view may be radically different from the views of the majority who may not like Kris....
But I have a sister....I have a daughter.....and I cannot imagine what I would do if someone betrayed them with another woman, thereby destroying their family...then took money from them....and now portrays them as liars on national television.....
I also have a son...and I would never tolerate him if he did this....we train our sons to be gentlemen...this is not the act of a gentleman!!!

Galit kay GMA dahil pinalitan at hinigitan pa yata ang pagnanakaw niya.....HIndi raw kinilala na presidente si GMA...
pero nung nakakulong at may masakit sa katawan, susulat...
"payagan mo naman ako makalabas para pumunta sa doktor ko."....
Kapag birthday ng nanay, susulat..."pakawalan mo naman ako, birthday ng nanay ko."
Di raw humingi ng pardon...pero tinanggap at patuloy na tinitira ang nagbigay ng pardon sa kanya....
Ganito ba ang tinuro sa atin ng mga magulang natin...ang maging walang utang na loob.
Di na nga lalaki.....parang di pa pilipino.
Ang tunay na Pilipino...hindi yung lasenggo, babaero, sugarol, sinungaling, mandarambong, at walang utang na loob....
ang Pilipino, maginoo, matapang, mapagmahal sa asawa at pamilya, matapat sa tungkulin, at maka-Diyos....

Bakit kasi hindi na lamang manahimik at magpasalamat, na malaya siya at hindi nabubulok sa bilangguan.

Ang sakit lamang, na nung huling eleksyon, muntik pang manalao.....Sana naman, magising na ang masang Pilipino, sa Maynila man o kahit saan....kapag siya ay nanalo...hindi siya magbabago, dahil maniniwala siyang tanggap nating lahat ang kalokohan niya.

I will not defend Bam Aquino or his dad, I am not a fan...nor will I defend Team Pinoy....I hate Dynasties.....but you all have to agree that as far as explaining is concerned...Erap and Enrile of UNA have infinitely more reasons to explain about their questionable and sordid past.
Tiangco fits UNA and the Big 3 like a worn-out glove....sirang sira na...pinipilit pa rin!
On every interview...he has something nasty, something deceitful, something insulting to say about the other camp..people like this guy----and his leaders and idols have brought Philippine politics down to the level of the dogs.

MAHAL KO ANG MASA

One who claims to love the poor masses of his country cannot continue to live in grand opulence while the great majority of his countrymen continue to languish in severe and depressing poverty.....he does not even have to be in politics to help them.....but when he enters politics, becomes it's supreme head...and continues to become even richer....something is very wrong!!!

Now here he is again...promising the poor people of a certain city...that he loves them and he will improve their lives....the more painful part is.....said people of this city might actually believe him again.....

When will they learn???

A good leader should be an exemplary model of not only, efficiency and hard work...but of high morals..... he shouldn't drink too much...he shouldn't gamble....he shouldn't womanize...

Pg nakita mo siya.....dapat puede mo sabihin sa anak mo...."anak gusto gayahin mo siya"....You have to be able to tell your child...."I want you to be like him."

Tama naman na! Tama na ang panloloko...at tama na rin ang pagpapaloko natin sa kanya....ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

COMPARING TWO LEADERS

The difference between Sadam (former leader of Iraq) and a former president of the Philippines...is this...

When Sadam was being hanged for his crimes against humanity....he shouted "Death to the Americans) before he was hanged....he may be evil, but he was brave to the bitter end.

Here in the Philippines...this former president ran away from the palace when he found out that people were about to attack the palace.
When he was offered a pardon by the person he lambasted endlessly, he immediately accepted it.

The glaring difference....
One is brave.....
The other is brave also, only in his movies.

KOKO ON DIVORCE

...and that is why...I will always say "NO" to the Divorce Bill!!!....it's an easy way out.....the fastest way to forget our oath to our spouse, and to Our Lord.

PRAYING FOR THE NEW POPE

Watching the news and morning shows while preparing to bring the kids to school....the favorite topic has been the upcoming "conclave" and the various possibilities and strong contenders for the next pope.

Then, the hosts ask their televiewers to pray that our very own Cardinal Tagle be chosen as the next pope...

As a Filipino, I would love to have as Pope, Cardinal Tagle....but my prayers cannot just be focused on wising that he be the next pope....that may be a little self-serving for us....

I ask that we all pray, all the Catholics and the Christian all over the world...
that the Good Lord enlighten all the Cardinals so that they may choose the right man....
one who will lead all of us through these tumultuous times....
one who will adapt to the modern generation but never compromise.
One who will make everyone see, that despite all the new gadgets, all the advanced learning, all the modern beliefs....we should never forget that GOD is the center of our universe....
that CHRIST is as relevant now as He was when He died on the Cross for us....

Again, we need a Pope that can adapt to the modern times...but he cannot compromise on these....
there is only one God, and that we should love and honor HIM above all....
and that we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

WHAT WE POST

To those who have generously followed my wall and have spent some of their precious time reading my posts.....you know how I love to write about my family...my kids in particular.

Often times I would write about how proud I am of their talents and their achievements, no matter how minor they may seem.
Sometimes My wife would caution me about how some people in FB might find me too proud and even arrogant about my kids, and my writing....irritating as it talks about my kids endlessly....

In the last few days…I have also posted my comments and my views regarding Philippine Politics….once more, my wife cautioned me about this…that people in FB may find my views so opposed to theirs that they may find it resentful, and once more, arrogant.

I also write about things that other people may find too personal, about my life and my family’s….like problems, illnesses….personal regrets and triumphs.

My answers :
About the politics, they are my views….it is as simple as that….no need to read it and no need to “like” it.

As for writing and posting personal things…..we all do that in FB…just in varying degrees…and in different ways...or perhaps some haven't noticed that they've been doing it….so let me “count the ways”….

Some write about their parties…how drunk they got, with pictures…..some post pictures about eating in a restaurant with family or friends….pictures of trips abroad…pictures of food we just ate or cooked…..pictures of every nook and cranny of their house…..pictures of family, in formal wear, or in bathing suits…..how is this not personal?

"Here in FB, people post what they want...some, like me, post about their children's achievements...some, about their latest triumphs....some about their latest parties,.....some about their latest acquisitions (new car, bags, anything).....and some about their problems.....and then there are those who ask for prayers....I've always found these last one particularly moving, and I do pray for them....

My point is….to each his own...we post what we want.

As for writing about my kids’ achievements….I am a proud parent….as I am sure all parents are…we just have different ways of showing it….I’m sure a lot of the parents have kids with achievements much greater than what my kids have done…but none of them can be prouder of their kids than me…it’s not really the achievements….I am just ecstatic and proud to be their father!!!

God bless all of you who have spent some time reading and liking my posts...some of you even give very generous and encouraging comments....I am humbled!...but expect me to continue writing about my family and my experiences.....this is who I am.

I hate people who milk an issue esp. this sensitive just to win votes....disgusting!!!

The bad thing about rumors ...is that any Tom, Dick and Harry can start them....the worst part, however, is that some of us believe them....I wanted to vote for new faces and new voices....I wasn't going to vote for old and sitting politicians from both UNA and Team Pinoy...I am not, however, inclined to vote for a tsismoso who spread unverified information on national television...David may be a new voice and a new face, but his politics reeks of old and sickening tradition.

So what is your mission? If the mission is just to spread the word, why do you have to run, because losing, and losing in an embarrassing fashion, most certainly dampens any message you may want to spread.

Terrorists are people who use violence to coerce other people to do their bidding....isn't this what you and your armed men did are continuing to do....and if we had gone to war with Malaysia because of what you have done...the violence may affect our family, our children.....You-Terrorist, yes you most definitely are terrorists.

What was the expected ending of this story?....That you would get Sabah and live happily ever after? Life isn't a fairy tale...and for those who would start violence...can there be any other ending short of violence and death...Mr. Kiram, you sent 300 armed men to their deaths....these were fathers, sons, brothers and husbands of someone....you had them killed just for your own selfish motives....Sabah is ours, we all know that...but what you did, you didn't do for us.....you did it for yourself!!!

Kung pagiging tuta at Kung kaduwagan ang tawag sa ginawa ni Noynoy...then for the sake of my kids, I am glad na naging duwag si Noynoy...because if we had gone to war with Malaysia because of this...it would've endangered the lives of my kids...and as always my priority is my kids' safety...not the personal demands of one man or one family....yes..Sabah is ours, but the Sultan is doing this for his own greedy reasons, it has nothing to do with us!!!

Yeah..you don't create enemies for life....esp. in politics where principles are a dime a dozen....kapag ang isang partido..lahat napagsama-sama, kahit magkakaiba ng paninindigan...isa lang ang ibig sabihin noon....WALANG PRINSIPYONG TOTOO AT PANININDIGANG MATIBAY ANG GRUPONG ITO..AT ANG LAHAT NG KASAPI RITO..Ganito ang UNA, ganito rin ang Team Pinoy...my advice...mas mabuti pang bumoto sa mga bagong kandidatong walang partido...tayo ang partido nila!

I am infuriated every time I read or hear people say that President Noynoy has betrayed the Filipino Nation by siding with Malaysia against his own countrymen....

This is not a conflict between Malaysians and the Filipinos...this is a conflict between Malaysians and Sultan Jamalul Kiram III...and while he is a Filipino, he certainly does not think, talk, nor act like most Filipinos, and for the Filipinos.

Did he get the majority of the Filipino people's consensus before sending 300 hundred armed men to Sabah...did he even think of us?

As a Filipino and, more importantly, as a father and as a Catholic, I implore President Noynoy and I pray that the Lord enlightens him, never to side with Mr. Kiram, because doing so, means siding with violence that may lead to war.

War endangers the lives of the innocents....our children...we will go to war, because Sultan Kiram wants us to go to war...

I believe every leader....actually, every person....should do everything he can to build a world that will be better for all children...and the prerequisites for this are LOVE AND PEACE.

Anyone who does anything to endanger these ideals and thus put the lives of children at risk has committed the ultimate betrayal.

Now who do you think has betrayed us???

Sultan Kiram III served under GMA in different positions...he was adviser on Muslim Royal Affairs, he was even a member of the Philippine Olympic Committee...and also an adviser on Philippine's claim to Sabah...wonder why he didn't do or propose anything back then...was it because, like all of GMA's men he had so much money back then...now, unfortunately, he is not as affluent and has a kidney problem...so now he does this...and we believe that he's doing this for us? Again, my apologies to everyone, but as a father, my priority and my loyalty lies with what can be good for my children...and violence and war can never be good for anybody's children.

I am sure they miss your arrogance too....Gordon is probably better than a lot of the candidates but he is also infinitely more arrogant than all of them combined...and that is just a royal turn-off!!!

I never said I'd rather have someone who couldn't do the job....My advice in my wall have always been for people to vote for new faces and new voices, which may offer new hope...rather than old trapos...sorry Ms. Marylou, I have never been a fan of arrogant people, no matter how efficient they are....because arrogant people are inherently bad...just for believing in themselves too much and belittling other people!!!

I've heard this said by a lot of people come election time..."Iboto natin yung mayaman na, para di na magnakaw." (Let's vote for those who are already rich, they will not steal anymore.) I guess the logic is...the inclination to steal may be less, if you already have so much...but when exactly is enough, when it comes to money and when it comes to those people?

How many of the elected officials now were poor before they got elected? It cost a lot to run a campaign....so better logic will tell you that most of those who win elections have money....and what did they do after winning?

This presumption has no leg to stand on....and this was spread by the very rich politicians, so that we will vote for them....KALOKOHAN ITO!!!

Better logic dictates that when a businessman or a businesswoman runs and spends a lot of money in his or her campaign....he or she will do everything to get her investment back...and then make profit...syempre kailangan may tubo!!!

What is even more obvious is that these business minded politicians will side with the businessman against the ordinary people...

Look at these congresswoman now running for the senate....she sided with the owners of 23 Nursing Schools with a below than average passing mark in the boards, kasi nag-invest na raw ng pera.....how about the parents who worked hard to earn money to send their children to those nursing schools...tapos babagsak lang sa board.....di ba mas nakaka-awa sila....and this is not an isolated case...CHED wanted those schools closed because of their abysmal track record when it came to the board exams.....but these congresswoman and her cohorts sided with the owners, and upon questioning recently, had the gall or rather the ignorance to say..."Hindi naman kailangan maging BSN (BS Nursing) at di naman kailangan maging magaling para magtrabaho abroad."

She says she had no time to prepare an answer....I need a senator who can think fast...not someone who waits for her adviser to tell her what to say or do.

Perhaps as she herself has proclaimed, she has helped a lot of people...then I pray that she continues to do so...but not as a Senator or as a Congresswoman....someone who thinks this way, should not be making laws.

I don't mean to be insensitive......

12 of the Sultanate's man killed...2 Malaysian soldiers killed....with our sudden stubbornness....was there any other result expected?
If they continue to stay there, more will die....

Some of the blood from these deaths will fall on Noynoy and on the Malaysian leadership....but the Sultanate's and his advisers' hands and hearts should be drenched in the blood of everyone that dies from this debacle!!!

Again, I am not releasing President Noynoy and even all the past presidents from responsibility.....the land is ours....there can be denying that.....But the Sultanate carries the brunt of the responsibility....sending 100 armed man and declaring they are ready to fight, against several millions....how is this not sending men to their sure deaths???

How can any responsible and caring leader do this??? Those 12 mean killed have parents or wives or children...and they may not even understand why their loved ones had to be sent to their deaths

Like I said, how I hope wars were like the olden times...where when a King, or a president now, a prime minister, or a sultan for that matter, wages war against another country...these leaders would stand in the front lines and risk their lives as well....tingnan natin tapang nila!!!

They wage wars and order attacks, sometimes on a mood swing, and risk the lives of fathers, sons, brothers..while they themselves are with their families making bold declarations of bravery.

I pray that these senseless killings stop..for the sake of children who may lose a father, a parent who may lose a son....

....I pray for the souls of those who died...may they find peace...though their leader sent them to war.

.....I pray for their families...may they feel the love of our Lord more than ever...

...and I pray for enlightenment for the leaders of Malaysia and for the Sultanate.

MOST PROUD

Recently, I became ever so proud again, of my Nicole's triumph as Jessica in their school play...I could not feel proud enough...esp. as other parents have congratulated us and praised us for her performance....

Last night, before I left for work, someone who works for me (Tess) received a distressing call....her son had been hit by a bus in Pampanga, she was asked to go immediately as her son may not make it....last night, Lizzie was also sick....so before I left for work.....while kissing and hugging Lizzie, I said...."Daddy will pass by Baclaran Church on his way home...to pray for your healing." Then my Nicole says...."Dad when you do pass by, please pray for Tess and her son also."

Then as my wife was crying because she felt so strongly about what our help was going through....my son, Niccolo just kissed and hugged her mom....no words were said.

I will always be proud of my children's talents and when they use it right....but I am proudest when they show generosity and compassion for their fellowmen.

Just now, we received news that the son of Tess had died....we continue to pray for his soul, for Tess and for their family...that the Good Lord make them feel His love.
