REGAINING MY STRENGTH FROM A SIMPLE VISIT

This morning I woke up feeling very tired and rather weak....a few late nights and some problems probably led to my feeling this way....

After I brought my Nikki to school, I, together with my parents, visited an uncle at the hospital.

When we got there, my uncle was having difficulty recognizing us...he even failed to recognize his son...this was partly due his old age and the seriousness and the complications of his ailment. I know my father felt bad that my uncle could not recognize him....then as I was helping him to get to a more comfortable position in bed.....the most surprising thing happened....

My uncle pointed to me and said...."Ahh, si Jonathan...Doctor 'yan!"...we don't see each other very often....so I was surprised....I was flattered...I was humbled and I was touched...all at the same time.

I left my uncle's room feeling very sad....because I knew how serious his condition was....but from this weakened sweet man....I regained my strength and my purpose for the day.

The minute I got home.....I prayed for my uncle and for his family, esp. his very caring and very kind children....I asked the Lord to make them feel the warmth and greatness of HIS LOVE.
