THE MWSS WORKERS AND WHY THEY ARE COMPLAINING
I am writing about this again, because the MWSS worker's
union have not ceased with their complains....
During GMA's time a driver was given a salary of 97 thousand
pesos a month, with hazard pay, housing and car plan.....
Can you imagine how much the clerks, the supervisors and the
managers were earning.
The members of the Board of Directors were getting 500
thousand a month, each, I believe.....this they decided on their own....they
would hold meetings just to decide how much their salaries should be....then
they deemed it right and proper that the staff get enormous salaries as well,
so they would not complain....
The question that really begs to be answered is how were
they able to get away with this?
Is it really the practice in government agencies that they
decide what their salaries should be....shouldn't it be standard for all
agencies?
When this travesty was finally noticed, when GMAs term was
ending, this particular woman who was a member of their board of directors had the audacity to claim that
their counterparts in the private sector were earning more than them....
First of all...really?
Second, then why don't you work for them?
You are in government service, your salary comes from the
tax payers, so we have the right to question everything....your salaries, your
allowances, your car plans...everything....and you have to take that!
Now, under the new leadership, the salary of the drivers
were slashed down to 37 thousand a month....and I assume, all the other
salaries for other positions were significantly lowered down.....but basing it
on the salary of the drivers...to an amount that is still way higher than the
ordinary government employee....and the workers are up in arms!!!
Talaga naman!!! It was a drastic change from buying an SUV,
they may now have to settle for ordinary cars....From going to ST. Luke's they
may now have to be admitted to other private hospitals....From yearly vacations
abroad, they may have to settle to vacations to Boracay....From Louis Vittons,
they may have to settle for Secosana .....Kawawa naman sila talaga!
There is nothing wrong with having a high salary...this is what we desire for
every Filipino...but if the driver get's 37 thousand a month, shoudn't the
teacher, the nurses, and the soldier be getting 60 thousand or even higher?)
This is not a rich country....we cannot go on this
way...more auditing should be done....then get the excess and put them where
they really belong...to providing the best education, to giving sincere and
complete health care and to defending our country.
Tigilan naman na yung pagrereklamo.....nakakahiya rin naman
talaga sa amin!!
