WHENEVER YOU ARE THRILLED AT NEW
GOSSIPS ABOUT PEOPLE FROM A TALKATIVE FRIEND, REMEMBER THIS....THE PERSON WHO
GOSSIPS TO YOU, WILL ONE DAY GOSSIP ABOUT YOU...OF THAT YOU CAN BE MOST
CERTAIN.
I've always claimed this...never be
economical with words of praise, or sunny greetings, or wonderful gestures. You
never know what a person may be going through, but your words can either make
him feel worse or make him feel better and wanted.
Wonderful words, can calm a soul and
treat ulcers better than any anti-anxiety drugs or antacids.
I WOULD GLADLY TRADE MY PRIDE IN
EXCHANGE FOR AN APOLOGETIC AND HUMBLE HEART. SO DON'T EVER BE TOO PROUD TO SAY
YOUR SORRY, TO ANYONE, EVEN TO YOUR HELP AND TO YOUR EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING YOUR
ENEMIES. BUT ALWAYS BE MORE THAN READY TO SAY SORRY TO YOUR LOVED ONES, MOST
ESP. YOUR CHILDREN.
In the movie "Love Story"
there's an often quoted line that goes like this..."Love means never having
to say your sorry!" I could not disagree more. For me, love means never
allowing one's pride or one's familiarity with each other, to get in the way of
accepting your mistakes, doing the responsible thing, and apologizing
profusely, most especially to people you love.
When we become ready to kneel down
and humbly accept our faults and weaknesses, the Lord will be there to bring us
back up with with His love and His forgiveness.
I have always been on the receiving
end of people's kindness. To my parents, my sister, my uncles, my aunties, my
cousins, my friends, my former classmates, batch mates, my in-laws ....to
everyone who has ever been good to us..you have made me and my family feel
loved and you have humbled me beyond words. God's angels...that's what you are.
