FOR EASTER----A WISH AND A PRAYER

Let this Easter represent a fresh start, a new beginning for all of us....let us leave the bad memories of yesterday....let us learn from them, but after that, let us discard those memories that lead to nothing but heartaches and anger....let us look at tomorrow with a brighter perspective....full of hope!

For this Easter, let us make a wish...no, let us make a prayer....

We pray.... 

Lord, please remove all hatred and frustrations from my heart,
please remove all pride and arrogance from my life,
please remove all envy and discontent from my mind...

then I ask my Lord....
to replace it with love and humility....
and to allow this love and humility
to fill every chamber of our bodies
and every aspect of our lives.

We know this will not be easy,
we know the way will be paved 
with more reasons to be angry,
and the days will be peppered 
with heartaches and frustrations...

So we ask for your help...
we come to You for guidance...
we beg for Your enlightenment....
Give us the strength...
give us the determination...
to live each day of our lives
with love and humility.  

We ask this for our loved ones, 
we ask this for everyone around us,
and we ask this for ourselves...
so that we can be worthy
of Your sacrifices, of Your death,
of Your resurrection
and of Your love.
AMEN.
