A GRIM REALIZATION

A GRIM REALIZATION
Netizens from all over have flooded the internet with their own views and comments concerning the tragedy that had taken the lives of 44 brave and honorable men.
We're all more than free to speak out, and to write, and to post... That's the privilege of living in a free country... A privilege and a gift we have taken so lightly.
So again.. Post away....
But, always remember.... That our comments, and the way we write them, the words we use....they say a lot about who we are, how we were raised, what we believe in... They speak volumes about our faith, and about our GOD.
I thought that 6-7 million seeing Pope Francis was a sure sign that we were the greatest nation on Earth, when it comes to faith, compassion, mercy, and love... Because these were his messages, and we all claimed to understand him.... And we all claimed to be so happy and to feel so blessed.... And when he asked us to be the evangelists of Asia, we were all thrilled!
Look at what a majority of netizens have posted....war, war, war! Some have even suggested napalming or bombing Mindanao, not caring about the innocent civilians, both Christians and Moslems that will be killed or even incinerated.
Never thought a savage act can just as easily turn us into savages ourselves.
So instead of accepting the task the Pope has given us, that of spreading God's Words and Love... We instead spread vile and hate!!!
The grim realization, is that we likened Pope Francis to the idols we just hold, but never spoke to us.... Because if our post, our comments and our actions, regarding this tragedy, are an indication of anything....we did not listen to the pope, we did not put his words into heart... We learned nothing from our good pope.
I am hurt by the grim realization.
God bless all of us !!!
