CATHOLIC--REGULAR
CATHOLIC REGULAR
This morning while taking very weak coffee because I had to pour some lukewarm water into it, so as not to aggravate my tongue and my throat ulcers... I started thinking about soda drinks and beer, with their "strong", "regular", and "light" varieties...and connected them with our being Catholics.
Although I don't think there should be such a thing as "Catholic Strong" because everyone should aspire to be as catholic as one can be...let's not be "Catholic Lite", yung we just go through the routine of going to Holy Mass on Sunday and that's it... Let us at least be "Catholic Regular".
Siguro "Catholic Regular" would be going to Mass as often as one could, understanding the readings and the Gospel, praying frequently, knowing the Rosary and praying it as well, trying to learn as much about Jesus...and living each day adhering to true Catholic Values....having faith in the one true God, not in colors, not in signs, not in good luck charms...believing that despite the problems we're going through, we have a loving Father who will never abandon us...and trying our very best, it's never easy, to be giving, to be forgiving, to be humble, to be understanding.... To learn to respect and even love everyone even when we have opposing views.
Ako, "Catholic Regular" lang, hoping to be a better Catholic pa.
God bless all of us!
Thank you for the comments and the messages of concern.... I am recovering quite well from the viral infection.... Strong enough to have brought my kids to school this morning, and to fetch them again later... Not yet eating regularly though...I just rested my tongue, took a lot of cold drinks, (which I am not used to, as I am a hot coffee and hot tea drinker), some ice cream and a lot of prayers... I will be well soon.
God bless always my friends!
Catholic and Christian Values!

LOYAL TO SJCS
LOYAL TO SJCS
To everyone who understood my point, to those who showed support, to those who sent personal messages, for fear of reprisals---Thank you.
To those who don't agree with me, but understood that I was a father so hurt and irritated---thanks!
To those who don't necessarily agree with me, but understood my right to speak out, and not to like something they love---thank you also.
To those who were hurt unintentionally by what I wrote---I apologize... It might happen again, and I will humbly apologize again.
To those who continue to believe that they have the right to force students to adhere to their commands and compell parents to do the same, and believe they are better---the time and the day will come when you will be made to realize, that you cannot keep on doing this, and get away with it......and to those who support these kinds of rules, you follow blindly now, and you will soon be no better than these people.
It has always been about free choice and respecting ones right to choose without threats or coercion.
The better tool was to inspire and to encourage, not to threaten.
To those who question my loyalty to Saint Jude Catholic School----HOW DARE YOU?
I am confident that if the founders were still alive, they would not agree with this extravance, because that
was not how they lived and it was not how they led.
I continue to be loyal to the values my alma mater used to stand for.... I continue to practice the things I've learned from SJCS.
I pray the Rosary everyday.
I stop whenever prayers are recited to join the prayer. I don't stand up for the recitation of the vision and mission statement as it is not observed anyway..., but I stand up and join the prayer.
I continue to show compassion to all my patients, regardless of who they are.
I never discriminate against any race or color.
I try to respect everyone's view, I debate with them but I remain friendly with them, and I try to leave the discussion wiser than before...
How many of you stop talking with your friends to pray once the morning or afternoon prayers have started?
How many of you still know and pray the Rosary? Alam niyo ba na may Luminous Mysteries na?
How many of you truly don't discrminate against other people? How many of you will allow their children to marry someone belonging to a different race? How many of you treat their help as friends and have them sit at the same table with your family when eating out?
Loving our alma mater should not merely be about supporting their every project and following their every whim...,, It should also be about remembering what we learned from the founders...living the way they would've wanted us to do.....and it should also be about criticizing whoever is presently heading the school and telling them when they are wrong, to get us back on the right track!
I remain a proud Judenite and nobody can take this away from me!!!
God bless SJCS!
